IKEA PAX Wardrobe Assembly: What to Know

PAX wardrobes are one of our most requested builds — and the one we get asked the most questions about. Here is what to expect.

3 min read

How long does a PAX system take?

A single 2-door frame is usually 60–90 minutes. A full 3-door or larger PAX run, with interiors fitted — drawers, rails, shelving — typically takes 2–4 hours depending on size and configuration. We give you a realistic estimate for your exact setup when you book.

Sliding doors, interiors and pricing

We know the PAX range thoroughly — sliding doors, hinged doors, glass fronts, interior drawers, pull-out trouser rails, shelving inserts. Pricing runs per frame section plus interiors, and the complexity tier (see our pricing guide) reflects how much interior fitting is involved.

Anchored to the wall, every time

A tall wardrobe is a genuine tip-over risk, so we fix yours to the wall with the correct fixings for your wall type as standard — masonry, plasterboard or lath-and-plaster. There is no extra charge for this; it is simply how we build them.

Booking around your IKEA delivery

If you have an IKEA delivery scheduled, book us for the same afternoon or the next morning — this is one of our most common requests. Everything is assembled and anchored before the day is out, with full cardboard removal available as an optional £49 add-on if you would like the boxes taken away too.
