How Much Does Furniture Assembly Cost?

No hidden fees, but the total does depend on what you are booking and how many items. Here is exactly how it breaks down.

The basics

Every booking includes a small callout fee plus a labour rate per item. As a guide: small items start from £45, a chest of drawers from £65, a bed frame from £70 and a wardrobe from £120. The Smart Price Estimator gives an instant range for your exact items, and your assembler confirms the final total on arrival.

Book more, save more

Booking several items in one visit brings the price down: 5% off from 2 items, 10% off from 3, and 15% off from 4 items or more. Add everything to one booking rather than splitting it across separate visits.

Why complexity changes the price

Not every flat-pack is equal, so pricing reflects how involved the build actually is. Standard items (clear instructions, straightforward flat-pack) carry no surcharge. Complex builds — many parts, fiddly fittings, or wall-fixing — typically add around 25%. Premium or bespoke pieces, such as modular wardrobe systems, solid wood or anything needing precise alignment, typically add around 50%. The estimator shows you which tier your items fall into before you book.

Optional extra: full packaging removal

We always fold down and stack the cardboard tidily at no charge. If you would rather it was hauled away entirely, that is available as a £49 add-on — just tick it on the estimate or booking form.

What is never charged

No travel surcharge across any of the areas we cover — our prices already include travel. No charge for tools or equipment, and no fee for a quote.
